My husband and I recently got married at The Fitzroy Inn and my goodness is that place special.

Carol, John and the entire team were wonderful to deal with. Mine and my husband's families stayed on site for two nights and Carol in particular took great care to ensure that we were all comfortable.

The grounds are stunning, and the interiors have an old-world charm with all the modern comforts. We couldn't be more grateful to have gotten married at The Fitzroy Inn.

The wait-staff during our wedding were exceptional. We were often told that you never get the chance to eat on your wedding day, but this team made sure our plates were never empty and our glasses were always full. I didn't catch the names of the women working the floor in the marquee, but you were fabulous and greatly appreciated!

Wow! My wedding at the Fitzroy Inn at Mittagong was an absolute fairytale! Carol, the wedding coordinator, was not only caring, kind, and incredibly helpful but also made sure every detail was perfect.

The rooms and social areas through out the building were not just lovely but truly enchanting, adding a touch of warmth to the whole experience we especially loved the pool table and fire places!

Booking out the rooms allowed us to create unforgettable memories unwinding with our loved ones in a cozy setting.

The chef and I catering team were outstanding! Their friendliness and attention to detail made our dining experience exceptional. They truly went above and beyond to cater to our every need.

And let's not forget the grounds and gardens - they were breathtakingly exquisite, providing the perfect backdrop for our special day.

We had our wedding at The Fitzroy Inn in April and the whole experience was absolutely lovely. We had so many compliments from our guests on how wonderful the grounds were, and it was exactly the unique and peaceful venue we were after for our special day.

John, Carol, and the team made sure we were well looked after. Thank you for your warm welcome, attention to detail, lovely rooms and your flexibility. We couldn't have asked for a better venue and it is certainly a day to remember.

My wife and I got married at the Fitzroy Inn in early September and it was the most amazing day. Having the ability to have everything on site was a huge selling point for us and it didn’t disappoint. Many of our guests commented on how wonderful the venue was from the historic buildings to the garden lawns and the marquee itself. Our bridal party and immediate family stayed onsite and all loved the history and intimate homely feel the Fitzroy Inn provides. Special mention to Carol who went over and above to ensure our stay was special.

We had our wedding at Fitzroy Inn, in December 2018. It was absolutely the best day of our lives and our guests raved about what a gorgeous event it was. This venue stood out to us as it fitted all our needs, it has the grand country feel, yet is only a 1.5hr drive from Sydney. We had family and friends who travelled from overseas that we were able to stay with us on the property in beautiful rooms for our wedding weekend.

We had flexible food choices with #thechefandicatering and an array of local musicians, florist and everything you need to have the best day ever.

Our guests were very complimentary about the venue and said it was the best wedding they had ever been to. With the combination of Chris’ expertise/professionalism and John’s confident and relaxed/easy-going attitude, they made us feel at ease and assured about our big day. They really took the time to get to know us as people, not customers. We would recommend this venue time and time again.

We had our wedding here in February 2022 and it was excellent! So quaint and picturesque and totally fit the vibe of our wedding. The site manager, Cathy, was excellent with ensuring that everything that we wanted was done and she coordinated with all the other suppliers to ensure that our day ran smoothly. Lots of our guests commented on how nice the venue was as well which was super pleasing to us.

We first saw the Fitzroy Inn online and instantly felt drawn to it. This feeling continued during emailing with them and when we finally met them and saw the venue in person we knew we'd been right to trust our gut. The venue is stunning, with beautiful gardens, so much history in the buildings and the staff were so welcoming and friendly! Cathy went above and beyond for us, answering all our many many questions and was very accommodating in finalising our numbers about four times (thanks Covid!). A lot of venues had rigid time frames etc, but the Fitzroy Inn was happy to tailor our experience exactly as we wanted. Everything ran smoothly on the day (Cathy is a boss event planner), there are multiple stunning ceremony/reception/photo locations, wet weather alternatives and accommodation on site.

A charming quaint venue, perfect for a winter Southern Highlands Wedding. The historic house is beautiful and their Wedding Marquee is amazing!

Fitzroy Inn was the most beautiful venue for our wedding ceremony, reception and the time in between, for canapés, lawn games and live music on their lovely marquee lawn. It checked all of our boxes for a garden wedding with the exclusivity of having the entire place to ourselves, everything needed was in the one place so there was no need to travel anywhere, there were wet weather options, the accomodation on site was large enough for our entire bridal party and the venue had a stunning marquee with plenty of space for all our guests for the reception. The grounds were also so well kept and stunning.

John was a very accomodating, cheerful and helpful host, and Cassie was great with replying to all of our emails. We had the most perfect day that ran smoothly from start to finish. Thank you to John, who helped to liaise with all the vendors on the day, from the furniture hire and caterers, to the caravan bar, arbour hire, florist and musicians. We would love to go back and re-live this day over and over. We would give this wedding venue an 11/10 because it was even better than we thought possible. Thank you Fitzroy!

Would highly recommend Cassie from Fitzroy Inn to organise your wedding. Cassie was super helpful; her communication and follow up was the best out of all the venues we looked at. We received very friendly and courteous customer service from her. The venue itself was stunning, full of character and  versatile with different rooms and areas. We would like to thank Fitzroy Inn for delivering a wedding day so far beyond our expectations, and exceeding any dreams that we had.

I had emailed the venue frantically one Saturday night, 3 weeks out from our wedding as I had unfortunately been faced with having to find a new venue. Chris the hotels manager called me the next day (on a Sunday, and was the only venue out of about 50 that got back to me that day). He explained that they had the date I was needing available, and I could come and view the property if I wished. My partner and I, and our 3 kids headed out that afternoon to take a look. We instantly fell in love with the relaxed and romantic feel of the property, as well as Chris’s informative and helpful nature. Our kids yelled excitingly that we MUST have the wedding here!! It was perfect!

3 weeks to organise everything I had done with my previous venue over the last 2 years. As a busy, working mum of 3 children I felt completely overwhelmed. But by that night the wedding planner Cassie had called me, emailed me all the information I needed and completely put me at ease. It was seemless. The caterer Paula from the Chef and I also made contact that week, we discussed the menu, tailoring it to include kids dinner boxes for our children, and offered advice to enable us to make the best choices for our day.

The day went off exactly as planned, we had so much confidence in Chris, Cassie and The Chef and I catering, that we could just relax and enjoy our day. The videographer and photographer were spoilt for choice, and there was no need to leave the venue for photographs, we could have spent hours strolling the property and capturing magical moments.

Our guests have raved about the venue, as well as the food and wine. We have been endless messages complimenting the venue and also their service.

I loved having the accommodation on site, and it allowed me to have a night to myself before the wedding, and a beautiful room to get ready in on the day. We partied on into the night as we decided to book the Dungeon. This extended our night with our closest family and friends and the supper that was served of a hot ham roll and condiments was a highlight of the night for our guests.

The ease of communicating and liaising with Fitzroy Inn made planning our wedding thoroughly enjoyable.
